I am so excited that I got to do this senior session this past weekend. I really don’t get to do a lot of seniors, but I would love to do more. She was so much fun and it’s nice to photograph someone who’s just a natural. We did both urban and farm settings and it was so HOT!!! I don’t think I’ve ever sweated as much as I did that day….I definitely didn’t look very nice:) She on the other hand, looked gorgeous the whole time….I’m totally jealous. I also want to say that she’s super smart and I know she will go so far in life. Her track is math and science and she’s already doing an internship at UAB…I wish I was as driven when I was her age.
Well, isn’t she just drop dead gorgeous?

I want to introduce my niece Briana to all of you. I have known Briana since she just turned 4…ugh, it makes me feel old just saying that. Back then her favorite thing to do to me was to braid my hair and she kept telling me that I had such bad hair since it wouldn’t hold any of her braids. She could not believe why they would just slide out even if she combed it so many times before she braided it. It makes me smile when I think about it. She has grown up so much since we met and she has the best personality. She’s cute, fun, full of life, can text faster than anyone I know, always have something to tell me about, and is really really smart. That’s not a bad combination. Briana is turning 16 in October and for her birthday she wanted me to do a session for her. Since out shoot was canceled last Sunday we decided to do it when she and her family came to visit for the weekend. After discussing locations and the fact that our session was at 2pm we decided to go downtown. I think that was a really great choice since downtown is fun, colorful and give us lots of options for backdrops.
Anyway, if you know Briana please don’t show her the pictures. She hasn’t seen them and I want them to be a surprise for her birthday. She doesn’t check my blog so I’m not really worried she’s going to see them unless someone shows them to her.
